Programme:
Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation

This transnational project emerges from Rideout's existing work in prisons with young men especially who were very unclear about their own talents or possible career direction.  This issue has major implications for the high re-offending rate in the UK and shared concerns across Europe.  So in 2009 Rideout developed a programme entitled Talent 4..

Talent 4...Europe (T4E) is a diagnostic system with the objective of assisting learners to define personal talents and therefore identification of career paths. T4E is an accessible programme and accompanying resource kit containing games, exercises, educational films, tasks, and specially designed software.  In summary, the outputs of the programme as diagnostic assessments of the participants' skills, interests and potentials are submitted to software which generates proposals as to particular professions for which those individuals are naturally suited and in which they are likely to progress well, given favourable market conditions.

Aim of the project – the transfer to European contexts of our innovative programme, Talent 4...Europe (T4E)  We want to work with partners in respect of their expertise so as to ensure adaptations of T4 meet the particular needs of their national contexts.

Objectives of the project:
Rideout will visit each partner to organise the preliminary training event.  Partner organisations will be responsible for identifying employees to attend training so as to learn about the Talent 4...Europe programme; a set of diagnostic resources using games, puzzles, films and role plays that delivers a profile of each participant’s ‘natural talents’. This event will also involve defining what materials in the programme need to be adapted for a European context.
