2014 07 11 - VšĮ EDUKACINIAI PROJEKTAI participated in the Lifelong
learning programme multilateral project “Autism in Pink”. Participants were from UK, Spain and Portugal. Venta Social Care Home (Lithuania) also participated in the project. The main aim of the project was 
During the project meetings were held in Lithuania, UK, Belgium and Portugal. Participants had an opportunity to meet other women with ASD, compare the situation in different countries and share their experiences and ideas.to help socially vulnerable group – women with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) to integrate into society, give them knowledge and a possibility to get experience in independent life and social communication in order to improve their quality of life.

Women with ASD also went to Brussels where they visited the European Parliament and various international organisations.

In May there was an international conference in Lisbon (Portugal). The research, results of a project and the possibility of continuing actions were presented and discussed there.

The main results of the project are: a book “Breaking the Silence”, as well as a learning module and materials for women with ASD and their parents, teachers and careers, and a documentary film “Autism in Pink” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-FvExDAqh8)

2014 05 18 - On May 14 - 17th in Lisbon, Portugal, met LLP Grundtvig Learning Partnerships Multilateral Project „Autism in Pink“ participants from Lithuania, Great Britain, Spain and Portugal. Lithuanian
 participants were Venta social care home resident Svietlana Parfionova, head of social work department Daiva Pranauskienė and VšĮ Edukaciniai projektai social programs coordinator Laura Olišauskaitė.
The first day of the meeting was dedicated to a tour of Lisbon. We visited the Lisbon Oceanarium, the old district of Belém, St. Jeronimos Monastery. In the evening there was a premiere of "Autism in Pink" documentary film, which caused a lot of emotion, both between girls, who saw themselves in a film, and employees.
During the second day there was the final conference, which was attended by both the participants and invited guests. Welcoming speech were made by MEP, Committee on gender equality Vice - Chairman Dr . Edite Estrela, the Portugal National Rehabilitation Institute president Dr . Serôdio Madeira, the member of Portugal Parliament Margarida Almeida, British National Autism Association director and project coordinator Carol Povey et al. There were presented the results of the project, “Autism in Pink” film was displayed. Much attention has been given to presentations developed by women with autism spectrum disorders on various life aspects with autism, such as hygiene, personal relationships and so on. At the end of the project participants were awarded with diplomas and listened to concert prepared by people with disabilities.
 

On the 13th of December the film crew visited Venta social care home
On the 13th of December the representatives from VšĮ EDUKACINIAI PROJEKTAI Simona Adanavičiūtė (Social programmes worker), Arlandas Makūnas (Social programmes coordinator) and the operator from UK Katie Hebden visited Ventos social care home.
During the visit Ventos social care home director together with other specialists presented services and events which are provided to the care home residents. Within the meeting Katie created a short video about the care home residents’ employment, individual experiences and achievements.
At the end of the meeting we visited the Hill of Crosses, we had the opportunity to admire Siauliai city’s architecture and the main parts of the city.  
 
 
 
On the 14-15th of November was held the fifth partners meeting of the project “Autism in Pink”. 
 
The fifth meeting was held in London, United Kingdom. NGO Edukaciniai projektai was represented by Simona Adanaviciute (social worker) and Arlandas Makunas (social programme coordinator).
The international meeting was held in National Autistic Society (NAS) organization. During the meeting project partners discussed about this year activities, also scheduled future activities. Partners discussed about training topics and the structure of the training module. Moreover, discussed about next year’s visit to Portugal, there also will be the final project’s conference.
During the free time the workers from NGO Edukaciniai projektai visited UK parliament building and the Big Ben. Also, “London Eye” the world’s biggest observation wheel and had the opportunity to visit other remarkable places in London.
 
 
Project “Autism in Pink” partners’ meeting with the representatives of the European Commission
 
Social worker Simona Adanavičiūtė and social programmes coordinator Arlandas Makūnas together with the international project “Autism in Pink” partners met with the representatives of the European Commission in Brussels. During the meeting project partners presented the activities which have been implemented so far, the achieved results and difficulties encountered when implementing project activities. Based on project partners’ presentations the representatives of the European Commission made suggestions for improvement and extended the project implementation for six more months.
On their free time international project partners had a possibility to try out Belgian chocolate and visit the most famous places of the European Union capital: Grand Place and the symbol of Brussels – the statue of peeing boy. 
 
 
The 4th partners’ meeting of the project “Autism in Pink” was organised on the 24th of July, 2013
 
The 4th partners’ meeting of the project “Autism in Pink” was organised in Šiauliai where the social worker Simona Adanavičiūtė, the social programmes coordinator Arlandas Makūnas, the volunteer interpreter Gintarė Černikienė, the director of VšĮ Edukaciniai projektai Lina Arkušauskaitė and the external evaluator Vilma Tubutienė participated.
 
The partners from Portugal, JK, Spain and Lithuania presented the activities of the project implemented so far, discussed about the mid-term evaluation and future activities. The financial aspects and changes in the project coordination were also introduced.
 
It was decided to organise the next partners’ meeting on the 11th of September, 2013. The project partners together with the representatives of the European Commission will discuss the further steps in the project and the terms.

 The third “Autism in Pink“ partners meeting 

The third meeting of “Autism in Pink” project partners was held in Lisbon, Portugal where VsI Edukaciniai projektai was represented by social worker Simona Adanavičiute and translator Laura Pociute. 

During the meeting the partners introduced the activities of the project which had been implemented, they discussed the future activities and the product - educational guide for the specialists working with women having ASD. Also, the changes in the coordinating team were discussed.

It was decided to hold the next meeting in Lithuania on the 9th May, 2013.

 

 

10-13 April 2012 – The first partners meeting in UK

Our representative social programmes coordinator Edita Steponaviciute participated in the first project “Autism in Pink” partners meeting in London (UK). During the meeting partners discussed all important, complicated questions and partners also shared good experience of projects implementation. Besides, partners shared the tasks and main activities of the project. 

Till next meeting in Portugal on October of 2012 all together decided to gather the target group that women with autism could get an active role in the project activities.
